An article at CNNmoney.com, written a month ago, reported that the number of drug recalls in 2008 was:
426 seems like a high number to me. Doesn't it beg the question, how do these 426 drugs get into the market in the first place if they are recalled later for potentially posing a health threat? But, then I saw the number of recalls in 2009:
Really? How does this seem possible. It really makes me wonder if drug companies really have people's health on the forefront of their minds. Because that's a whopping
increase from 2008. Does this shock you as much as it shocks me? Read the full article here.
If you are currently taking a drug, research its ingredients. Google "drug name" ingredients and you should be able to find a list of ingredients. I was appalled at the ingredient list for my husband's anti-seizure medication (which isn't so anti), Depakote ER. If you look at that list, you'll notice propylene glycol. According to this website, The Material Safety Data Sheet warns users to avoid skin contact with propylene glycol as this strong skin irritant can cause liver abnormalities and kidney damage. This ingredient is also found in: Tyre sealant • Rubber cleaner • De-icer • Stain removers • Fabric softener • Degreaser • Paint • Adhesive • Wallpaper stripper. And, wouldn't you know it, propylene glycol was one of the first several things to show up in Nutrition Response Testing as being toxic to his system. So, do your research and proactively seek out ways to improve your health naturally.
